Adam Grinovich

For me jewelry is inherently connected to a cultural context. I am most interested in jewelry as a phenomenon, on a poster at a bus-stop, on racks in a department store, in a music video. Jewelry for me has always been about an infinite feeling, a perpetual state of life. Jewelry is the evidence of life, the potential of life, a concrete reminder of a given moment. It represents the ideal, it balances perfection with disharmony, the chaos of the modern world. It stands alone as value incarnate, impossible to question, mysterious in its origin. When seen on the body, it is the contemporary talisman, a totem resistant to death.
